50% - 60% of marriages end in Divorce.. The median length of a marriage is 7 years.. Nearly 70% of divorces are iniated by..WOMEN So if I met an attractive woman..Marry her and have kids with her. There is a 50-60% chance I will lose half of everything I earned in 7 years.. I dont like those odds..

i heard somewhere that contrary to popular belief, there are actually more marriages that last than those that end in divorce... but even if those statistics of yours r really accurate, taking ALL marriages into consideration...i guess it's all about looking at the cup half-full in this case...because yeah, you possibly could fall in that 50 to 60%....but what about the other 50 or 40.... not all of 'em end in divorce, that's for sure....and maybe yours won't be one that does.... 2 me...marriage is just one of life's many, many risks worth taking...

Those are just the risks associated with life. I rather give a **** at it and fail then never knowing the possibilities.

Having a marriage to someone that I am truly in love with would be worth it.....I guess. Losing half my money if we would get a divorce would be fair anyway...the marriage was supposed to be a partnership.(50/50)

Ya Know Amir.. I remember, I read somewhere that "love" only lasts for 0 - 5 years. After, that period it wears off. People that can stay in relationships usually develop strong bonds that keeps the marriage or relationship intact. The numbers don't lie. This whole thing could very well just be a fantasy that is kept alive by older couples and the media..

maybe if you read the Bible and followed God's plan for courting, those odds would look alot better 8-) (evy)

I'm giving the relationship at least 5 years before I get married. One of two years is too quick to me.
