of a strong woman?? i was listening to a show on the radio today and the topic was what is the definition of a strong woman...women called the show and the replies for a woman being "strong" was someone who had degrees or a degree, had a six figure income, or just simply put, they were out having a career and workin a 9-5...in response to these descriptions, some women called in to say what about women who stay at home and actually take care of the kids, cook, etc...are these women not "strong" women?? theres another part to the show but its been done so many times on this site its not even funny...just want your opinions ladies...

that doesnt define a strong woman. there's so much more to that. a strong woman is someone who is treated with ultimate respect because she wouldnt except anything less. she is the woman that does what need to be done, whether it's staying home with the kids or working from 9-5, to make sure her family is taken care of. she is confident in who she is and doesnt need a degree, job, man, or anything else but God to define who she is.

I agree with the lady above. Strength isn't really defined by whether a woman has a 9-5 or if she is at home, but if she takes care of business. A strong woman is loving and caring. People look up to her. And while she cares for others, she cares for herself and doesn't let herself be run down by the what others need. So many times, women run themselves ragged by trying to be Superwoman and doing everything, but I think now many are realizing that in order to care for others, they must keep themselves in top condition.

I agree with what they said above, no a strong woman is not defined by her degrees and a 9-5 job. She is the every woman from the strugglling mother of five that waits tables all day just to feed her children to the woman teaching the school and making do with just enough books to teach the students. A strong woman is one that does what must be done to achieve the greater good. Therefore an education does not make a strong woman it only adds to her strength and directs her path.

But each is unique and strong. The strength of a woman cannot be clearly defined or thrown into a box. It is the spirit of a woman's determination and the drive that pushes her each day. Overcoming adversity and persevering is what she does best.
