Accept and adapt. Posted on 07-30-2005

Have any of ya'll ever been in a helpless-type situation where all you could do is roll with the punches? I'm usually the person who tries to find a solution to every problem, but I've started going through one in which I have NO control over whatsoever...and it ****. In case you're wondering, I'm watching my parents age very quickly. Their pasts are starting to really catch up with them, and I find myself taking more and more care of them (and myself) that I'm usually used to. It's one of those situations where I just gotta deal with it. Accept it for what it is, and adapt to it. Anybody feel me?

Yea, I'm the type when I'm in situations that I have analyzed as one with no real solution, I just do the best I can with what I'm workin with. I figure that in these types of circumstances there's two options: handle the situation the very best that you can or recede, punk out, and allow your circumstances to wear you out. I was in one w/ my job earlier and now I'm finising up my last 2 weeks here. I really should of been fired long ago because of tardies, but considering the fact that no one wants to work here, we are constantly short, and it appears as if no one can be terminated that easily any more. And the supervisor that was really giving me the most stress has suprisingly been fired too. I feel this way about mistakes too. If you mess up all you can do is adapt and hope that you can redeem your past mistakes with your future actions.

it's just one of those types of situations where you really have to depend on your faith to get you through and remember that he doesn't put more on you than you can bear... I have been through the same thing your going through many a times and there really is nothing you can do about it but make the best of it.

Most situations in life you cannot change. You have no control over human nature, or the actions of others (even though this doesn't stop most people from trying.) What you can change, however, is yourself; and this is how you become stronger. Holla!

also i think as long as you have some sort of outlet it will help. like a girlfriend, best friend, or other close family member to go to when ever you feel discouraged.
