I didn't really grow up watching ABC though, I grew up watching CBS with Dan Rather, so I didn't really know Peter Jennings like that.
But definitely RIP though. It's a shame, lung cancer. I remember back when he announced it, his voice sounded terrible. And that's the sad thing he said he quit smoking like 20 years ago, but I guess it was too little too late...
smoking does catch up to ya.... but it's really a shame and he was a brilliant journalist... him, Dan Rather, and Tom Brokaw were all some great guys of our time... RIP

yeah and i believe the news says he started up smoking again when 9/11 happened
yeah i can honestly say Rip...i remember catching him right before Jepordy came on....he ran a great show, i wish i had a chance to see it more since CNNis trash now.
