NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Titans top draft pick Adam "Pacman" Jones surrendered to police Wednesday on charges of **** and felony vandalism stemming from a fight at a nightclub. Jones was released from custody after posting bond. He did not comment to reporters as he left the jail. "If this gentleman was not a Titan, you would not be here," Jones' lawyer, Roger May, told reporters. A Titans spokesman said the team was aware of the situation and was monitoring it but had no immediate comment. In a court appearance, nightclub owner Robert Gaddy said Jones grabbed his shirt, hit him and broke his necklace after Gaddy asked three of Jones' friends to leave the club. Gaddy told police he asked Jones' friends to leave because "they were smoking ****." In April, Georgia authorities investigated a report that Jones was involved in a fight in a nightclub near Atlanta in April, but no charges were filed against him in that case. The 5-foot-10 Jones, who played for West Virginia, was the first defensive player taken in the NFL Draft in April. He hurt himself in the Titans' rookie orientation on April 29 and couldn't practice with the team until June 14. But Tennessee took him for his 4.45-second speed in the 40-yard dash and 37 1/2-inch vertical jump as they try to replace veterans Samari Rolle and Andre Dyson.

This is only one situation and he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time with, worst of all, the wrong people. He could of easily been provoked to do what he did (the article on sportsline is a bit more in-depth) and, being immature, reacted in the incorrect way. Being apart of the Titans organization, I think he can be shaped up quickly because jeff fisher won't take too much mess. :???: @people ending his career and callin him bust before he even steps into training camp.

sorry dude, but if he signed the contract, you gotta leave Sh*t like that alone... it's cool to go back to the hood and whatever, but damn... you sign the contract, you're signing to be a role model, a leader by example, on AND off the field.. i ain't say he was a bust or what not, i still think they should've got Antrell Rolle though... he'll learn from this, and just do better... but sometimes you have to make sense of the situation... just leave a bad situation, especially if something doesn't look right...
I actually like Antrell more because of his size and physicality (sp?), but Pacman is still a athlete and is good at the game he plays. Whatever contract he signs though are goin to have ALOT of clauses, and even more now, so every screw up is gonna end up being less money for him. You right though, he wasn't doin his job or settin no type of example, and still got a lot of maturing to do.

I WISH sean taylor would get his stuff together cause he's a BEAST. Just being from Miami means somethin too since the top two defense players in the league are from there (ray lewis and ed reed). Dude is like close to 230, faster than most safeties in the league, and got instinct. I think if a different team (I wanted atl to get him) would of drafted him it would of been a lil bit better because the skins got so much junk surrounding that team anyway. He need somebody to chew him out REAL good though. Jim Mora wouldn't of did that but he would of came up w/ some corny junk that sounded funny to distract him from the streets lol.
