My favorite four HBCU's are: S. Carolina St.; NCATU; FAMU; and Southern U in no particular order. I can't decide which one I want to attend. Does anyone have any good or bad things that they know about these universities that would help me with my decision?

Don't base youe decision on which one is your favourite. Research the schools and base it on which one has what you're looking for. There's way too much info about each school for any one person from any of the schools to put it here.

A&T and SCSU have the 1890s program which gives you a four year full scholarship, with 800 dollar book voucher, lap top, and gauranteed room and board for four years. Like ol dude said before A&T is known for the Engineering program which is number one among HBCUs and is ranked among the PWIs as one of the best in the nation. It also has the second best Journalism & Communications program to Hampton's top, and the best Psychology program among HBCUs, which is not widely known, but it doesn't have a grad program there, and it produces the most black CPAs, which I think are accountants. It's also one of the best HBCUs for grad programs. Choose the school based on the education you're planning on getting and not the social atmosphere. A&T is known as a party school, but it's not neccessarily true. There are parties, but you have to find a ride there. And incomming freshmen can't have cars starting Fall '06.
