If writing is your passion, then age aint nothing but a number. You were writing as tho you were supposed to graduate in 2000 or somethin, you are 2 years late....there are PLENTY of people in the same boat. There is nothing to be afraid about...it's not an embarrassment.....what would be is if you let that be the reason why you dont go to college. Just remember, it could've been worse. If you have the opportunity you better take it before someone else jumps in front of you and take your blessing!! You are 19 years old starting as a freshman....so what....nobody is going to look down on you for that....it's not that serious...i know a 23 year old who is a freshman....but he's gettin his education and i respect him for that... Sis, you NEED to go....it is NEVER too late....dont let fear get in the way of you achieving your goals....fear is not supposed to keep you from your dream....it's suppose to help you get to that dream...because out of fear come courage and understanding....out of it comes the truth....out of it comes YOU...an award winning novelist...go get your education!

You are only 19. If you want to go back to school, by all means, go. Like everyone else has said, it's never too late to educate yourself. My mother went back to school in 2001 to obtain her degree and she was 30 something, so do you.

Ok I know I am really late but something to thing about is honestly its never to late and starting college at 19 is nothing to me ashamed of. In college there are people 40, 50, 60 in college just trying to do their thing. A lady just graduated from my school and she was like 92!!! One thing to remember is in college people honestly probably don't even know how old you are because its just not something you worry about. People are there for different reasons but at the end of the day everyone is just there doing their own thang. Its nothing like in high school where everyone know who's freshman, Juniors, or whatever no one really knows who is what and honestly don't even care. This is a great time for you to start like they say better now then never.

I know too many people at Hampton who started school when they were 19-20. It's no tthat serious. You'll actually have an advantage in that you have like 2 years extra experience. The hardest part is starting. It's all downhill from there.
