i read sumwhere on this thread that swimming is a requirement for arts/sciences majors....
*throws head back* ...God i hope that person was mistaken..cuz i CANNOT swim to save my life..... :?
there's gotta be sum way to get outta that!

Yes, if you are in the College of Arts and Sciences, it is a requirement that you take swimming as one of your PE courses. I believe the only way around that is if you test out of it (meaning u know how to swim already) or if you decide to take it during the summer at a JC (but u might need to check and see if the course is HU will approve it first).

Oh and good luck trying to get out of it..lol The only way you won't have to take swimming is if you have a medical condition that prevents you from swimming confirmed by your doctor or you switch out of Arts & Sciences.
If you do decide to stay and take swimming, trust me, you won't be the only one who doesn't know how to swim. I think that is one of the main reasons why they make us take swimming. They have a beginners level swimming course.
