9-1-1 Ignores 5 year old phone call Posted on 04-10-2006
Blu_Renegade

ignant, ignant, and mo' ignant! That lil boy needs to be taken care of finacially for life ( I know that won't replace his moms, but compensation is needed). I would be suing the draws of that dispatcher, her station, and anyone else included if I was the deceased's family.

the person who dismissed the lil boy's phone call deserves one major slap on the wrist. but for real, even tho it's real shoddy of the dispatcher to say the kid was prank calling, i think a lil 911 training would have helped everybody in this situation. when i was 3, i remember my mom would drill me on calling 911. she told me to speak very clearly with a certain amount of urgency in my voice, so that if something happened while Allegra's Window was on, she wouldn't like, die or anything w/out 911 knowing. kids today need to be TRAINED! and the 911 people could use a lil more training.... hell when i used to prank call 911, they'd at LEAST send a couple of police officers to my front door...

This has got to be one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen.

My dumb **** homeboy called 911 one time when I was in 2nd grade...he was talkin bout "I swear, this girl in my class said her number is 911-3829!!" They didn't come, but they called back askin if it was serious. But with this dude...some training might have helped him, but he wasn't laughin or anything to make her think it was a joke. He actually sounded calm as hell, and that is something rare for kids because some kids would panic and just start screamin and cryin.

Who is the dispatcher to tell a 5 year old to stop playing prank calls? If not mistaken a dispatcher is trained to take ALL calls seriously, prank or no prank. Man, I'm so heated for that child, that is really a shame. I wish a **** would.......
