<> Whassup everybody. I'll be an entering freshman at Howard the Fall of 2007 and I'm interested in dance. After doing a lil bit of investigating I found out about two dance squads I might wanna look into: the Ooh La La Girls and the Bisonettes. Bascially I just wanted to hear some info, you guys' feedback on both squads, and maybe even your preferences. Also if there are any other dance teams at Howard feel free to mention them. Thanx for the help.
Hey Fe Baby,
First, I would like to congratulate you on your acceptance to Howard University. Welcome to the MECCA!
Secondly, in regards to your interest in dance, the Ooh La! La! girls and the Bisonettes are the two main dance squads but there is also Vizion Dance Team. Here is the breakdown:
Ooh La! La! -- They perform at halftime with the marching band. If you like bands and traveling, then thats really good.
Bisonettes -- They perform at halftime of the mens and womens basketball games. They are very entertaining and do a mix of everything.
Vizion Dance Team --They are more of like a Hip-Hop/You Got Served type group. They perform for basketball games also. They are very good.
I hope that helped. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or send me a PM.

Welp, Fe baby, Truth pretty much covered it. There are also praise dance teams, a cheer squad of course, and a great dance program if you are interested in pursuing that as a major/professionally. If you need contact info for some members of these organizations or people that can give you more detailed info, let me know. Good luck in your endeavors and I hope you enjoy HU
