How did each canidate stack up?
What would you have liked to see answered more in depth?
What remarks were shocking?
Overall how did it go?

I didn't catch it last night but I'm sure they'll show it again. I didn't remember until I heard clips this morning on the radio.
What were your reactions to it?

I think the three front runner are still the top 3 fron runners. Obama, Clinton, and John. However I did realize why the other canidates were there and running. They are simply there to push their issues and get the front runners to produce legislation in order to address their issues. The topics addressed were all good and i probably view it two more times to catch things i may have missed before . However the issue I payed mose attention to was poverty and education I don't know it anyone knows it but the Supreme court voted against using race as a determing factor of where a child should go to school. which means the problem of resegregation is just going to get worse. Now concerning this i did agree with Obama and the canidates that said it needs to start from birth unversial free kindergarden. especially Obama's comment about Bush's No child left behind act. He said that he is leaving the money for the schools behind. Now on to poverty, i am a democrat however I am opposed to giving people welfare. I believe welfare should only be given in extreme cases. Because African Americans as a are people have become to got dog on LAZY. We want to live off welfare, sit on couch , stand on corner and have this blind backwardz sentimient of life that the world owes us something. Like for example i am a recent HS grad working in the SEN. of SC office. I am the only African American in my office. I might not agree with his views but he granted me a internship as a reward for repersenting my state in a National Poetry competition however that is another matter. What I am trying to say is that I am from the South BX one of the poorest areas of BX but I am not leting that define me. Everyone can get out of there predictament because help is out there. tavis, Tom Joyner, Jesse Jackson, Obama, rev. Al Sharpton have so many outreach programs if we would take the iniciatives a hand or leg up is right there. Welfare is not the solution I will not reward anyone for sitting on they **** no matter if they are my people or not! Just go with me here by age 12 wealthy white people make there kids FIND A JOB so they can learn about investing, finances, African Americans don't have much and can't budget much because we are not well versed in economics. Condi (Condeleeza Rice) for example I ain't even mad at her . . . . . . . . .know why. . . . . . she made it ina white man's world she didn't sell out to her people she learned how to play the game I now understand her because I'm n her position as I stated before I don't agree with the stance the Sen. may take on things but he is my boss my vote will echo different'y and that's what really counts anyway! Another issue Blk ppl who give 10 percent to churchs are nuts. Now I am a Christian baptized and very active in my church and congress but I also read and research the biblical text for my self if you read the text concerning tithing you realize that Abraham was giving the money back to the king because he did not want the king to be able to say that the money andwealthcame from him instead of God Pastors take it out of context and do not explain this to ppl. The other verse about "Will a man rob god?" that whole chapter is refering to the preist and once again pastors take this out of context. The whiteman since slavery interpreted the bible to us and told us what they wanted us to believe and sadly this is still going on because it has been ingrained in out culture for so long. However back to the topic blk ppl will give and actual 10 percent. what verse in the bible do you know of that tells you to hand your taxes over to the church so they can take 10 percent of what your earn. What do you think is happening in the Mega churches? Helicopter pad on top of the church guards that come for the money then leave right after offering this is crazy but Blk ppl allow it to happen for the sake of religion. I say all that to say that poverty is escapeable and reversable but that stand and revolution MUST BEGIN WITH US!!!
