Can anybody tell me about Southern University in Baton Rouge. My son is thinking about going there and I want to know what's going there on the for real tip. How are the dorms? Are they just giving away college degrees? Is it a good school?

I agree that research is critical, especially when it comes to obtaining up-to-date information. Being an SU alum, I'm naturally biased, but I can state without reservation that enrolling there was one of the best decisions that I have made in my lifetime. The University has well-established undergraduate, graduate and professional school programs, and its graduates historically have been accepted for further study in some of the finest institutions in the country.

Dear Mother, Good looking out for your son! I was a nontraditional student at SU. I was 52 years old when I went back to school and enjoyed it greatly. My fellow classmates took me under their wings. I attended study group with them in the library, the dorms, their apartments or at my house. We made sure that no one was left behind. I truly would encourage someone to attend SU. I hope that your son does well in anything he endeavors to perform. Ardessia Groze de Vaughn

Well. I live in Baton Rouge and have a few experiences with SU through Summer Programs and through Sporting Events. The Southern System is going through a lot of problems now because of **** within the Board of Directors. Soo that may cause some difficulties. I hope I was some help.
