Ok, I'm not sure if I am the only one that noticed, but...
Why is is that when the kid shoots up 32 people on a white college campus President Bush is on TV the same day issuing condolences and statements and the next day he flys in to the rescue, but when New Orleans gets flooded and lives lost and mad chaos, he is no where to be found!!!???
wow...I thought I was the only who noticed that bullsh!t. See....He's full of crap, and he's surprised when ppl say what they do about him. He's an idiot.
Probably, because he and his advisors remember the hell they caught for not responding soon enough to other disasters, like Katrina.I don't necessarily think that he purposely chose to snub the victims of Katrina, but an important opportunity was missed to show support, and people noticed. As a result, the President is probably more attentive to his role in situations like this.
Well, you can call him an idiot all you want to, but the idiot either:
a) Rigged the election
or
b) Got a whole bunch of people to vote for him
or
c) both
ergo... don't mistake a lack of common sense for lack of brains. Sit tight, and we'll be out of this phase in U.S. history in another 1.5 years.

I think you're absolutely **** on....we can be certain that the victims of **** Katrina did not simply represent some humongous PR catastrophe for the Bush Administration...let us recall that the man has delivered the country into a wildly unpopular war without any sense of regret. The president does not act according to popular opinion, but according to a nationalist/imperialist agenda. Whether he chooses to visit a college campus or not, he is still set on embarking upon his murderous adventure. Todefend him or rationalize him is absurd, but then, to think that Bush is somehow the last remarkably evil president and that the democrats are our last hope is equally ****.
The electoral college has existed since the US became a country. Our founding fathers did not think that the people were smart enough to know good politics and implemented the electoral system to keep things running smoothly.
I'd rather live in an electoral system than a communist one.
I'm well aware of the foundation of the electoral college...The founding fathers were scared of the uninformed public and the mob mentality....
Just because it was created in the 1700's does not mean it was meant for the 2007... It is a new generation of people. It is not up to a few group of men to rule the large majority and decide what we are capable of....well not is this "Democracy"
