i saw on howard's website dat physiac education is required to graduate. what type of physical education? like elementary/middle/high school P.E, course about P.E or yoga, leisure, and urban recreation type excercise?
I didn't go to Howard but most schools have a phys ed course as a part of your core curriculum. I took Tennis and Basketball for my electives. Nowadays I'm sure that there are many other options.

English must not be your first language. ..At least I hope it's not. Or else your Elem. School teachers failed you. Damn "them". If it's not your first language (I hope it's not, so you can have an excuse for being ignorant) than there's something that you need to know..
There is no word in the English Language spelled "da" or "dat" in the context that you used it in. ...Just a heads up No disrespect. If you need any any more advice on the language, you can contact me ANY time.
What grade are you in? And are you in any ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes? I strongly suggest you take some ASAP. I would hate for you to get the rest of your life talking like that. ..You wouldn't get very far, believe me.

Go to Dictionary.com and type in "sophmore". When it brings up the results, click on "sophmore". It WILL be there. It'll have the same exact definition for "sophomore". I was right. You use "sophmore" when you're referring to Grade levels. And "sophomore" when you're referring to anything else. She was referring to grade levels. Which means, she was wrong. I was right.
If you don't like my comments, don't read them. But I will type whatever I feel like typing, when I feel like typing it. Don't reply to them either, especially when they have nothing to do with you. Get a life, and leave me alone.
Since when did we have to take Phys. Ed at Howard??
I swear, first it was the swimming class of the College of Arts & Sciences and now I've got to take P.E.? I thought I was through with all this physical activity my SOPHOMORE year of high school. Each day I learn something new about HU....this school never ceases to amaze me.

Even under names of students in this forum, the word is spelled. SOPHMORE. Get it right. You're just making a fool of yourself.
I also asked about getting around taking that swimming class and apparently there is no way to avoid it I think I'll just take the class my freshman year. A student I talked to said her professor didn't really care as long as you passed each test Ex: backstroke, freestyle, etc. and the more lenient ones let you re-take each test until you pass.

Wowww...Dictionary.com...Why didn't I think to go there?? hmmm..IDK..Maybe because that site references Wikipedia in its definition for sophmore..and in case you've been too busy being a smarta$$ to get the memo..Wikipedia is NOT a reputable source. So here's a little experiment for you...How about YOU open up any reputable source like say Brittanica, Webster or Encarta and then you keep flipping until you find SOPHMORE...You WON'T...and you know why-I KNOW you're probably a little lost by now so I'll help you out- You WON'T find it because it ISN'T a word.
And as for that whole getting a life suggestion? Maybe you should try that first. After all I don't need to be unnecessarily nasty to get some drama and excitement in my life...
