Soo... I want to bring my car.... anythings i should know.. like...should I wait a semester...a year? Thanks, much!

I have a friend who just graduated and when I asked him about it, he said that it was not a good idea, especially if you are a freshman. When i went up there I saw like 5 boots on like a 10 minute walk. And the guide told me you could add like $1,000 to your total costs for the year if you plan on driving as a freshman. Plus Metro runs all the time anyway.

I would say wait until Sophomore year for three main reasons: 1. You dont know the city at all so getting around in a car would be very difficult. There are lots of one-way streets, parking restrictions and my friends have told me about their cars being **** to numerous hit-and-runs. 2. As a freshmen you dont qualify for a parking pass. You would have to park on the street and parking around campus is limited and hard to find. 3. The Metro is cheaper.

Well thanks! That just makes my heart hurt... being from LA i don't know too much about public transportation.. So i guess this is going to be a lesson ...
