My name is Xavier and one of my future endeavors is to become a Neurologist and I am currently in a dilemma of which school to chose to complete my undergraduate studies. I have been accepted into Xavier University of Louisiana and I'm currently waiting for my letter from Morehouse College. These two schools are the schools I am most willing to attend. For the longest time I have wanted to go to Morehouse College for numerous amounts a reasons but it seems as though Xavier University can provide me with the best education possible for the field in which I am going into. Including getting me into one of those top medical schools in the country. In your best response can you please tell me which college should I chose and why? If you go to any of the two schools mentioned could you please try to give your honest opinion of the school?

I see why you have a dilemma. Well if I were a male(lol) I would chose Morehouse for several reasons. 1. It has been ranked #1 numerous times for being the best college for African-Americans. 2. Atlanta is a prime location. ( Yes, overall you are there for academics ,but once in awhile you need to have some fun.)3. You have the use of two other fine institutions at your finger tips and its a tight knit community full of resources. I think Morehouse offers the best of both worlds. Either institution would help you to reach your goals.

I understand that Morehouse is better for African-American males but if Xavier University can better prepare me for medical school and provide me with an outstanding liberal-arts education then its dominating. I'll have to make a very difficult decision because I love Morehouse.

Yea I think you do have a very tough decision to make. Both of them have excellent reputations for producing the best. Just do some more research and listen to your first instinct. Good Luck!
