NOOOO, my grandfather loved him... :cry: and even met him in albany GA back in the day.....that is truly sad...SPECIALLY for the state of georgia :!:

and to make it even worse...they're not talking about it on the major news stations like CNN or anything...thats a damn shame...they're only talking about it on the local Atlanta stations...thats white people for ya :roll:

awwwwwwwww man... Ray Charles was the man.... but yeah it does suck he's not gettin a lick of airtime, don't people realize he was a legend in music :arrow: i mean he wasn't a president, but he was popular in many audiences....

man in south georgia, its going on nonstop...they are talking about burying him back in albany georgia...so my mom's is trying to plan a trip near his burial/funeral possibly..not at it, cause of course they wont invite the public most likely...but maybe for the viewing they might

Something needs to be done for him. I remember back in grade school I had to learn the state song, and now I feel that every kid should know it before they enter high school.

the news of his death is truly a shock to me as a man of Morehouse. Ray Charles recieved an honorary doctorate from the college and it was announced at commencement that the new performing arts building would be named after him.
