Well at first I didn't even consider the school. Then my uncle suggested it and I did a little research. I found that I really liked the school. So I really wanted to go to Skegee..it was my first choice. Thank GOD I got in!
Well,Im choosing Tuskegee because I wanna go to a school where I know I will be gettin a good quality education..The atmosphere at 'Skegee is just so friendly and warm, I just like everything about that school, including Im not that far from home...I know if I get into and graduate from Tuskegee that everybody especially including myself will be very very proud, being Im the 1st in my fam to wanna go to college and graduate...And, 'Skegee has lots of history.
WELL, I CHOSE TUSKEGEE BECAUSE WHEN I WENT ON A BLACK COLLEGE TOUR I LOVED THE CAMPUS AND THE PEOPLE. PLUS, MANY OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS GRADUATED FROM SKEGEE. I ALSO KNOW I WILL BE RECEIVED A GOOD EDUCATION FROM SKEGEE BECAUSE THEIR NURSING PROGRAM IS THE NUMBER ONE IN THE SOUTH.
I knew i wanted to go to Tuskegee when one of the school's representative came to my high school...and i also knew a lot of people that graduated from TU and loved it. Then after some research i realized that TU was the school for me.
I had visited Skegee back in the seventh grade with my teacher(who is a TU alum) and was like "I'm diggin this school"(lol). Senior year came and we came back down here on after vistin the state capital; I walked on the campus and was like "I'm goin 2 be a Golden Tiger." I haven't even applied yet but I knew that there was where God lead me to be. I walked in the bookstore and bought so much Skegee gear that til this day whenever they get something new in or if I come in to get something.....they hold it for me(lol). I applied in November and got my acceptance letter in February. We came down on visitation and right then....My momma fell in love with the campus and the people. I met Ms. Erica Gunn(Ms.Tuskegee 2001-2002) and she not only welcomed me with open arms on visitation day but also during that whole year she was there.
