Some people come to college expecting many different things. Sometimes their perspective college/university meets those expectations and sometimes they dont.
What does the Class of 2008 expect to get out of the Howard University experience?

I actually expect a lot from the Mecca! I have been big on the Mecca and black colleges for a while and I honestly put HU among the best colleges in the NATION!
I expect:
-Great political exposure
-To learn about myself, my goals in life and how to accomplish those goals
-To meet a lot of people like me (many ways)
-Beautiful EBONY QUEENS all of the place
-Great rivalry with HIU
-Stupid weather (what can I say I'm a Cali boy :? )
-To meet famous people
-To have LOTS and LOTS of fun :wink:

:arrow: Getting an A+ education
:arrow: Having too much fun
:arrow: Studying Alot!
:arrow: Making many life friends
:arrow: So many other things

yall worried about that weather? I must be crazy because I am happy with the weather because where i'm at below freezing winters are normal.
But I expect
To meet great people
make life long friendships
meet the future world leaders
learn more about myself and what I want
To learn to speak up and be heard
Have a great time
figure out what my future holds
take in as much knowledge as I can
All-in-All, I expect to grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually (I wish physically but that isn’t happen ) but whatever I take out of this experience, it will be enough for me :!:
Howard is just an amazing place to me. I haven't met anyone who hasn't had a good time at HU. I hope to become a strong BLACK woman at Howard, one who knows and understands black people and our history because its so important for us to know who we are and if we can't accept and embrace our culture, we'll never get anywhere. I also expect to have a good education, meet great people, and have a lot of fun.
) but whatever I take out of this experience, it will be enough for me :!:
