He WOULD say that, since he goes to Morehouse, but I do kinda agree with him. You don't want to spend years of your life at a place, just because it cheaper. College is an experience that should be educational AND FUN and you should remember it for the rest of your life as fun and not "JUST" some place you got your education ya feel me babe?

Morehouse! After you receive your education from Morehouse, simply because of the prominence of the school you'll get offered jobs, which will enable you to pay off the loans. And besides if Morehouse is your heart's desire AND you got accepted GO. Don't be depressed... Just follow your heart!

I guess I'll be the only one who won't give u a selfish answer EJ I believe you should go where God and your heart leads you Ppl saying 'gone and stay at MoreHouse w/o knowing your financial situation... If you do go to SIU let it not be because of money, but because its something you WANT to do , and the same goes for choosing Morehouse Look at it like this as well, you've seen what its like to go to an HBCU..with going to SIU you can see what its like going to a diverse school. But my main point is for you not to put a price on your education This is coming from a future SIU student

Well, bruh... Its like this. Taking the cheapest way was how I ended up going to A&T. I was already set to go to UNC Chapel Hill, and like you, my parents make too much money for me to even bother filling out a FAFSA. Hell even if I was living with one of my parents, I wouldn't qualify for anything. A&T gave me a full ride, so three weeks before I was to go to UNC, I ended up switching to A&T. To be quite honest with you, sometimes I do wish that I ended up taking out loans and going to the school that I was originally enrolled in. However, after being here for three years and starting my fourth, I can honestly say that I have not regreted my decision whether it was like pulling hen's teeth get me here or not. My point is: You gotta do what you feel in your heart. Either way, I'm sure you'll turn out to be a successful young man. Not to mention you'll already be a cut above the rest just for making it through college. There are too many of us without an education. If you do take the scholarship, then I'm sure you'll be able to make the best of things as I was. But if your parents are anything like mine, which given your background, I assume they're similar, I'm willing to gamble that while school might be a financial burden, not only are they proud of you, but they are proud to be sending to such and excellent institution. Either way you choose, I wish you much success.
