They sent me sumthin about mid summer sayin the name of my roomate and gave me an HU email address to contact her. Who the heck uses their hu address before even gettin to howard? I don't even use it now. So of course she never responded. Which was a good thing becuz when i got to the quad for orientation, their comp system was jacked up, so no one really ended up with the people they were supposed to be with. Parents were goin off, girls were trippin becuz they weren't with their friends, some girls went half and half on stuff and that messed them up....it was pure drama. My whole first day at HU was spent tryna get my room situation straightened out
They said the second mailing is coming in mid to late July. thats when we get the bill ($200 dollars I want to keep for myself) and roomates. but I know some people who still ain't get financial aid so mid to late july for some people migth be during oreintation.
Well my freshman year, there was no real system for assigning roommates.....basically your roommate was who ever was in front or behind you in line. Since I had a single, the person in front of me lived next door, and the person behind me lived on the other side of me, which was still cool even though i did want a roommate. But im glad that I didn't get one.
But I think that they actually assign freshman roommates now. Everyone else just gets put somewhere w/ someone.
and i've had some interesting and trifflin suitemates in the Towers. :roll: :evil:

LOL at that post.. Me and my girls are tryna avoid the whole "inconspicuously confusing" roommate arrangements, so we are all meeting up at my friends house, and then going to the Annex from there so we can get our rooms 2gether.. people tryna play w/ who you stay w/.. not cool
As far as roomates go, I don't care who it is. As long as I got a room, I haven't heard anything yet. I'm just now getting my financial aid. $20,000 loan???? HA!! Not this one. But anyway, I call up there like everyday checking on housing. They should know me by now.
