Parents....I really hate to say it but go with your parents....

It seems like you feeling ya new ride....I know u would rather be driving somewhere in the Crooked Letter state than footing it and being outcast by ya fam....They probably don't mean it that much but they doing whatever it take to keep ya in-state just like u tryin to find a solution to go out of state...

Here's how I feel on this. U never wanna do anything to upset ya parents cuz that aint cool. But u only fall in love so many times so u gotta make tha most of it. Try to explain to ya parents that u growin up. Your always gonna be their lil gurl but you are no longer their little girl. and about tha ride, you'll be aight. I go to TSU now and once you get up here you'll see that eryone gotta car and erybody real cool so its not hard ta find a ride. Last semester my truck had a fuel line bust so I had ta hustle ta get 2 work and stuff, but now I'm back rollin. So u'll be aight, and yeah I'm sure your parents will give you tha whip back after they get tired of drivin down here ta get cha ****. Good luck holla.

Follow your heart. Cause even though you might not get what your parents were gonna give you sometimes your heart will givve you the ambition and strive to acheive anything you want.

U never wanna do something that can break a strong relationship with your parents. But if u really wanna go away to school for more than just to be with your luv then u should fightt to leave. U may not do well at a school your not happy at

i'm feelin all of ya'll replies and they truly have opened my mind up....me and my folks had a lil talk and they....well my dad is still trippin about me leavin the state...my momma is more worried about who will pay for it cuz we broke as all hell and coffee mugs in this mutha. ANyway...I wanna follow my heart so bad but I don't wanna lose my relationship wit my folks. I tried to cut a lil deal wit em so ya'll help me out if i made the right decision...I told them that I'll apply to all of the schools that i am forced to apply for and then we'll see how much money I'll get to go to school and the one that offers me the most and will cover almost everything, then i'll go there. Was that a good idea or did i set myself up to get my heartbroken?
Where would you want to go IF you were not dating this person? That is a consideration. How will you feel if you go there because of him and you breakup shortly thereafter? These things happen you know. You're both young, this is a time to experiment, meet new people, grow. You are not married you know, so he's free to choose someone else. SO ARE YOU, with no drama.
OKAY!!! HOLD ON!!! YA"LL GOT DA WRONG IDEA!!!! I didn't decide to go to TSU for the fact that my boyfriend is down tha road!! I decided to go before he even went to AAMU so that's way off base. I've alwayz wanted to go to a HBCU that was out of state and close to home and that was my first choice because it's only like and hour and a half out of state and two from my house. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY BOYFRIEND OR MY FRIEND WHO DECIDED TO GO THERE BEFORE I DID! It seems that a few of ya'll kinda picked up tha wrong vibe...as far as him leavin me...that's his choice it's been discussed already...If he wants to be wit sumbody else...fine...i can't make him do what he don't wanna and the same goes wit me but it still ain't got nuttin to do wit my school of choice!!!
well if u really wanna go there and it doesn't have anything to do with ya boyfriend then u should discuss the issue with your parents. You may not wanna settle for a school that your not gonna be happy at. it can affect ya performance. try telling them all the stuff your telling us
