Does true love still exist today?? Posted on 07-16-2004
AggieSweetie07

I was listening to Ed Lover and Dr. Dre on the radio the other morning and they was asking people if true love still existed today?? do you think it does?? i do and don't, cuz so many people are saying the words "I love you" like its an everyday word...people get married just to have that status or for someone's money... people don't understand what love really is anymore, sad to say...you don't see couples like my grandparents together for thirty, forty, fifty years no more... but... right now i know for a fact that i have found my true love and he is someone i don't want to ever leave my heart....he is my other half, my inspiration, my thoughts, motivation, everything.... true love is a wonderful feeling and if you ever find your other half, you should do whatever you can to keep him/her cuz its a one in a billion chance to find another.... so what are y'all views on this topic??

I stopped believing in true love until i found my own. That girl has brought my emotional level to new heights when it comes to stuff like this. I've always said that my "dream girl" with have these/those certain qualities, and she'll make me feel a certain way...but i never did think that there were any females that had those qualities that were actually worth going after. But this girl reversed my whole outlook 180 degrees (that means "in the other direction" for the geometrically challenged). I kinda feel like she's the 1 for a brotha. She's very motherly, she's a christian, and she's an overall down home girl. She makes me feel like a million bucks, and i just can't stay away from her.

Yes I do...I believe in my heart that God will send me the man he wants me to spend the rest of my life with. Even tho I havent experienced true love for myself yet, I know one day I will be swept away by love.

I do believe in true love, even though I've yet to experience it...and I'm VERY VERY careful about using the L word...I'm one of those people that believes that the more you use something, the less special it becomes...so when the time comes and I finally tell a girl that I LOVE HER...she's gonna know it's for real, and for the long haul.

To me True Love is a bunch of bullshiit .. I dont believe that there is ONE true person out there for u and only u .. But I do believe that u can find someone to suits ur needs and based upon that they will become ur true love but I dont feel that anyone is DESTINED to any one person

True love defintely does exist but I think people are just running from it. They want instant gratification instead of the tears and sweat it takes to work on a genuinely love-filled realtionship.

I believe that true love exists today. I think people are just taking the true meaning for granted. People often misinterpret infatuation or lust for love. Or they use the word, but don't let their actions truly express it's meaning. True love is something worth fighting for, something worth preserving & nurturing. Things tend to be so casual nowadayz, that people don't even know what to do with love when they really get it.
