Well, i haven't lived in Meridian myself, and i won't be there in the fall either (Annex...Holla!), but i usually hear good things. You'll be in a single...that's a BEAUTIFUL thing. Meridian is co-ed...i hear that is a beautiful thing as well (dern freaks!). I always hear that Meridian is hyped, fun, and full of energy...peeps blastin music, folks chillin in the hallways, etc. That could be a good thing socially, and a bad thing when u tryna knuckle down with the studies. Plus, Meridian is a lil distance from campus. That has it's ups and downs too. Some peeps like it becuz they're in a better area that has more to get into (shops, grocery store, food joints, etc.). However, u betta get real familiar with that HU shuttle schedule if ya wanna be on campus on time for class.

Thanx for the info...I was kinda wonderin about the distance thing...this bein my first year at HU i figured it would have probably been better to be right on campus in the middle of everything ya know, but I'm sure I'll be fine...Oh yeah and now I guess I'm have to get off that CP time and learn to be on time!
I know this thread is old, but I have some questions/comments that don't deserve a new thread.
1. I have never seen a male walk into/out of slowe so I assumed it was a
female dorm
2. Is it true that the annex used to be co-ed? That's what somebody told
me when I while I visited
3. Does anybody know if that's a dorm they're building next to the annex?
(btw....that is a really nice dorm, I'm so jealous :evil: )
^^^one.. it is coed.. the males live on the first floor, and the females live on the second and third floors.. trust.. men come in/out of that dorm all the time.. ride the shuttle...
two. The annex used to be coed, but then too many pregnancies occurred and also, too many vandalisms.. you have to remember that it was built in '92, so at the time, it was new....
three. they've stopped production on that dorm, to the best of my knowledge.m however, it was supposed to be female or coed, not not a dude's dorm. It was supposed to be the new bethune Hall.. After all, you can't have an annex w/o an actual hall.... they have a model of it in the annex foyer/lobby.. you should check it out.. it has a nice design..
