HAMPTON UNIVERSITY ****!!! Posted on 07-11-2004

Hey I can relate to you some....campus life does get a little better during the fall because they tend to have more parties. But a lot of times you have to create your own fun. Of course coming from up North or from a big city it's going to be boring. I don't know from personal expericence but because my best friend happened to be from New York. I know it **** that you can't have a car your freshmen or sophmore year, but u can always work around that one. Try to befriend upper classmen so that you can get a ride to Norfolk, because the mall downtown is nice....there is three levels. Plus there is Va beach, Bush Garden's, and Kings Dominion which isn't too far....it's all about connections and finding means of transportation. During the regular school year especially in the fall there are football games and stuff. For some people after a while it kind of grows on you and then for some other people it just isn't for them. The cafe food...*laughs* There isn't anything positive I can say about that..I know I avoided the cafe a many of days...

Well, it's the fall and Hampton is still boring as hell. Curfew isn't that bad because there's no where to go if you don't have a car. The people around here are pretty cool, but Hampton is a place where you can really learn. Yeah there are parties, but you have have to be willing to pay to get there. Overall, Hampton is not a big party school, but it's cool for what it is

^Do you go to any of the parties? Do you get out or stay in your dorm all day?

I guess pre-college was different for everyone. At Hampton you have to make your fun or else you will be depressed. i'm from a small town in Texas right outside of Houston so i'm kind of use to making my own fun. My pre-college experience was so fun. I enjoyed being away from home, meeting new people and going to plenty of harbor parties ha! It will get better but for the future know that fun won't fall in your lap, you have to go find it.
