I was accepted to my dream school, Fisk University about two weeks ago. I am very excited because I worked very hard to get my a** in this school. Now I need help from my fellow Fiskites to let me know what I should expect from Fisk my freshmen year and the years to come. 8) :lol:

student of Fisk, don't be afraid to let me anything, because I am one of you all now.

Congrats on going to Fisk. I loved my experiences. Please ignore the ignorance from those idiots above who were belittling Fisk.
As you can see, they said nothing about academics when it comes to Fisk. True TSU does have new facilities yet those facilites are due to them being a STATE school and the fact that those same facilites are used to attract WHITE students who go there for free while those same idiots on this board had to take out loans and pell grants, etc. Case Closed.
When will the HATING on TSU stop?....TSU is a beautiful campus period. As far as attracting white sudents: TSU is still 85% African American. Out of 9700 students, that is a pretty large amount. Most of the white folks are NON-TRADITIONAL students, so they dont count
So Fisk Lady, I beg to differ on academics. Private does not always mean better. You are jsut paying for FISK's HISTORY....Nothing stands out about your degree compared to mine. We are all in the same boat. THOSE WHITE FOLSK DONT CARE WHAT SCHOOL YOU WENT TO. ALL THEY SEE IS COLOR. Until Fisk understands thay are in no way, shape or form superior to TSU, then we will always have this little problem. As far as loans and pell grants at TSU: The same number of students on financial aid at TSU is 64% compared to 73% at Fisk..... Lets do our research before we blirt out truthless/ pointless statements.
No one is hating on Fisk; ya'll just take you- selves way toooooo serious.
Both schools represent the struggle; we are still connected in more ways than one....

Fisk is cool as far as the academics is concerened but, social interaction is a part of the "college experence" and in that reguard you'll be spending alot of time @ TSU andVandy, but don't let us change yo mind do what yoiu feel is the best for you.
I'm a freshmen here at Fisk and it is a good school academically and it can be socially. It has everything to do with you. Will you sit around all day complaining or go out and have fun yourself. As for the TSU student saying that our only social interaction is by going to TSU and Vandy, that's incorrect because if my memory serves me right I do see alot of TSU and Vandy brothas up here. To all the TSU students that try to say that FISK students are stuck up, there are just as many stuck up people at TSU and many other black schools (it has everything to do with your character not your environment). Much love to my FISK FAM!!!!

This is in response to Junior Dawg, who for whatever reason wrote something that he knows nothing about, about a university which he probably would not have been accepted to, a university which when I tell people my alma mater, they pay attention.
