^^^^ **** "resourceful" but i doubt they would allow that but I am just going to get down on my knees and pray that my future room mate will be one full of trust and no quams concerning my valuables and i would suggest rflk do the same too lol or just get a trunk with a lock and call it a day.
LMAOOO...
Or or...ya'll could roll ya'lls trunk around with you all day...
Nah...I went to a boarding school my 10th grade year and i had a trunk under my bed and I didn't have any problems... But then again i stayed in the honors dorm....so it was a different caliber of people...but i really can't call it one way or another...
But your best bet is to not have valuable items out in the open...people usually don't just come ransack your room looking for whatever they can find...they really won't be inclined to steal something they don't know you have...as for a roommate... I say you build the trust early... and if you suspect that your roommate is stealing... try to get out of that room.
I have never heard of roomates at Howard stealing from one another (it probably happends, but I have never heard of it). Some folks did however have items stolen from them, but thats because they either do/did one or more of the following:
1. Left and forgot to lock their door (ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS LOCK YOUR DOOR.)
2. Wanted their room to be the "hang out" spot for everyone in the dorm and have mad people in there ALL THE TIME (When too many people are around, your stuff will "grow legs" lol)
3. Leave their door wide open and leave (I know people who leave their doors wide open while they go to the restroom or shower....they are DUMB AZZES!)
Most people I know are cool with their roomates. And like 504 said, if you think your roomate is stealing then change rooms.
