Aight I have a question...Move In Day...the sixteenthLike, exactly what happens? Do we HAVE to be there at 8 AM? B/C its a long drive from here to there, and I don't know many people willing to get up very early, help pack my things, then have the energy for a 3 hour drive.Do we go to our residence halls first, or to another building, or something?Another thing, I haven't registered yet, because I have a medical hold, so can I register that day?And do we have to attend everything that week?Sorry 4 all the questions lol
Hey Ammina!
Move-In! The most un-fun fun you'll ever have. Haha. You need to be there at whatever time they specified for you, trust me it'll make it run smoothly. The earlier you get there the better. You go directly to your assigned residence hall.
As far as registration, I would be calling the A building now. I had a medical hold but I was allowed to register when everyone else did because we called and hassled them and made sure they knew I was getting those things taken care of. You have to really stay on Howard about things like that.
Freshmen week will be something you talk about, remember and reminisce on for like ... your entire Howard career so I would say participate in everything. They have really boring orientation stuff in the morning and they'll threaten you if you don't go, but nothing'll really happen. I'd go because you do learn a lot of important things. In the evening the Pals (Campus Pals) will be on deck to show you guys a good time. You meet a lot of great people during freshmen week so put your self in the position to do so.
Hope this helped!

Sooooo you ARE going to Howard now? CONGRATS....again
And I think that E.Hansel answered all of your questions, but I'll piggyback anyway lol.....
-Yes, you need to be at your move-in on time because EVERYONE else is moving in also. The elevator will take extra long, there will be limited moving equipment and it will definitely be HOT. If you already have your housing assignment then go directly to your dorm first and you will receive further instructions.
-The activities for freshmen orientation week are optional...but class hasnt started yet so why not party?!
*Wait, I take that back...I'm supposed to be a good influence not a bad one* lol
I'm not attending Howard but I have some questions since I can't anyone from Hampton to answer. What If you are not eligible for some Howard scholarships freshman year and you better your ACT scores by sophmore year and you meet the requirements? Can you get that scholarship sophmore or year or is it only eligible for people who met those requirements freshman year?
