It's pretty good...I know alot of music majors and I havent heard them complain. There is Jazz Band, Concert Band and Marching Band; there may be a few other ensembles as well.

They are in the rebuilding process....they just got a new coach, so hopefully they will get back on track with winning more games and becoming more competitive in the conference.

Hey folks just another Howard hopeful. Now I know there is no set formula to get into college but I want Howard so badly Im stressing out my junior year! But how much does Howard look at extra-curriculars? because Im HEAVILY involved but I dont know how they look at it. Also I took AP English earlier this year but dropped it to English Honors because it hurt my GPA..went from 3.0 Unweighted to 2.9 Unweighted will this hinder my admissions process?

Extracurricular activities are always good, especially if you hold leadership positions (10th Grade Class President, SGA President, etc.). AP Classes are good, too! But if it hurt your GPA then I wouldnt risk it. Remember, a "A" in a regular class is the same as a "B" or "C" in an AP class.

Howard can be hard to get into depending on what your major is and what college you are applying to within Howard University. Some students are stuck up, some are cool. We have a mix of all types of people on campus. The neighborhood is ok. Its not the best but its not all that bad either. There is a Subway, Chinese Restaurants, Vegetarian Restaurants, Barber Shops, Beauty Shops, Book Stores, CVS and a Starbucks all within walking distance. Since the Presidential Scholarship offers the most, I would assume that its pretty competitive. There are plenty of Seventh Day Adventists on campus. Im not one, so Im not particularly sure which church they attend. I hope that helps!

The School of C is easier to get into than the School of Business (Im not so sure about Engineering requirements). BUT, the School of Communications is challenging. Especially if you have Professor Kagwa, Professor Wilson or Professor Agpalla. One thing I like about the School of C is that an internship is required to graduate. That way, students finish college with some work experience under their belt!
