PRAISE THE LORD!!!
First let me start off by saying that the church is not a dating service. If there is someone that catches your eye take it to the Lord in prayer. That person might not be the one that the Lord has for you. If that person is not for you than that person is for someone else and if you continue to gaze upon them with lust than the Bible says that you have already commited adultry.
Before you can be with anyone you have to establish a relationship with God. There are many holy examples in my chuch of married people that the Lord has put together and their marriage is beautiful. They have had children and are still in love and as their love grows for Christ, their love grows for each other.
However, don't be fooled...not everyone in church is seeking the Lord. Some are seeking husbands and wives. Some are hypocrites, but you should not come to church for people. You are suppose to come to church because Jesus is there. Because the spirit of the Lord is there. Because you need to be delivered. Because you need a word of encouragement. Or just because you want to Thank the Lord for all that he has done for you, even though he didn't have to do it.
When you go to church, you don't have to worry about meeting anyone. The Lord will direct you to the person that he wants you to have. They might not even be at the church when you first join. They might come five years later. That just gives the Lord five years to work on perfecting you. When and if the Lord joins you with someone, than it is better than any relationship that you can have in the secular world. But if you get with someone in the church and GOD didn't give them to you, than your relationship is cursed from day one.
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" Matthew 6:33
If you are going to church looking for a relationship, then you're bound to fail, simple as that.
I never dated anyone from church...and I'm a PK (preacher's kid)...all the guys I meet are outside of church...some of the guys who tried to get at me from church were sooooo not genuine! They didn't genuinely love God like I do, and they were tryna sleep with me just like the ones outside of church were! So I am glad that I didn't meet my current boyfriend at church...because he loves God just like I do...u get to know people for who they really are outside of church...so I don't like to meet people at church! But thats just me!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Some people may believe that it's not where you meet the person, it's the person that you meet. That's true in a sense, because you have to be mindful of the places you are. For example, most people in the club is not looking for a serious relationship. No matter how good of a person they may seem to be, most people just don't want to go home alone.
Honestly, I'd rather meet someone in the church because at least I would know that they have some kind of moral foundation. They may not work out but it cuts down on the guessing game.
