I will be attending Xavier University in the fall. Can someone give me some advice and tell me a little about life at Xavier. Also, I will be living on campus.
Oh ok.... well you can use me as a statistic cuz I KNOW Im not rich!! Im depending on sholarships, loans and my loving parents!!! (oh yeah, hopefully get work study too)
Dang 75% females huh? Well are the 25% males in the school koo? Im not really worried bout the percentage of guys cuz theres dudes in New Orleans right? so im not sweatin. The school sounds really nice. what are the major fraternities and sororities there?
Some of the guys here are pretty cool, and who knows, u might luck up and meet the guy of your dreams. There are lots of guys in New Orleans, but just be very selective of who you talk to. There is somewhat of a stigma attached to Xavier girls, and that can be a good or bad thing .
Our campus has 8 out of the 9 Pan-Hellenic Frats and Sororities. We have Alpha, AKA, Delta, Omega, Zeta's & Sigma's, and SgRho. The major ones now on our campus is Alpha and AKA.
no.....there's Kappa too....they don't have a website or anything but my friend who goes there is a Kappa
I think I can help you all out a little. I am a senior at Xavier University Preparatory School, a catholic high school in New Orleans also. New Orleans is a wonderful city most of the time. Being 18, I can do most things a college student can, so here are some of the major hangouts. Ok there are clubs, the closest by Xavier is Rockafella, it cool most freshman and younger people like I would say 18-21, go thee. then there is Key West, one of my favorite. There are many sites in New Orleans to see, there are The Zoo, IMAX, Auquarium. Lots of Parties. Also the French Quarter is the best for shopping, dining out, and partying at night. There is also Mardi Gras wgich comes once a year but its cool. College is what you make it so have FUN!
I will be attending Spelman College In the Fall 2005.

Ahh Yess! How could I forget the Kappas! They throw THE BEST parties. Matter of fact, thet got one this weekend after our Greek stepshow. This is our springfest week.

Okay, Rocafella is okay, but I wouldn't consider it a major hangout. Some freshman go there, unless someone like a frat or sorority throws a party there, and it's mostly some locals up in there. College night is always Fri., so nobody goes there on the regular, especially not upperclassmen.
Now some clubs that are cool are
-TwiRoPa
-Utopia -
- Dreams
-735
-914(when some1 throws a party there)
- 360
- Aqua Pearl
-St. Charles Room (over on Loyola's Campus)
and a couple of others I can't think of now....
Being a freshmen at Xavier especially being from out of time is a new and different experience. you learn as you grow and I hope you have fun while you are there. As you stay here longer you will realize that are good and bad expects of all things. P.S. Don't go to Aqua Pearl!
XAVIER ****!!!!
 I'm just kidding. I'm a senior at XU (32 days left baby!!!) and I've enjoyed my time here, but it's also time to move on. You'll have a great educational experience and access to a lot of help that you wouldn't have at any other school. If someone has questions about the biology department or the premed program, feel free to post a question and I'll get back to it ASAP. Miss 404 has already hit up the social concerns. (Girl, Rockafella has had 3 names in 4 years. First is was Rhythm City, then Duplex and now Rockafella...that place is a mess and I haven't been there since my freshman year...lol)
Hey can anyone tell me which dormitory have the biggest rooms? I mean between St. K and St. J. I wanted to know befor I fill out my Housing information.

They are the same size rooms for both dorms (kd from floors 1-3). But the rooms in KD from floors 4-6 are slightly bigger with different furniture, but there is no gurauntee you will get up there.
