So me and my mom are driving up to D.C. Thursday night to go and visit good ol'HOWARD!!! Friday will consist of various tours on campus, then I'll talk to some folks in the biology department, probably chat with the band director since I have no clue as to who is over the dancers I want to really take in as much as I can while I'm up there for the weekend. When my mom told me we were going this week I was like----> Anyone who is currently on campus, or not, have any suggestions about certain areas on campus that I should venture to during my "HU Experience"??? WHAT?! I called up there the other day about a future date for Open House, and the lady on the phone acted like I'd asked when Jesus was coming back. Basically, she flat out told me that HU wasn't having another open house til the end of next year.

It's NOT an Open House but rather a Weekend at The Mecca (March 6-9, 2008) for National Achievement Scholar Finalists who are eligible for the Laureate Scholarship.

Just got back in town from HOWARD! Although it rained the whole time I was there I had such a good time!!! The atmosphere was so much more than I could have ever expected. I went to all of the freshman female dorms, I think I like the Annex the best The Punchout was nice because I got my lil Chick-Fil-A on. The metro was pretty straightforward considering that I've only been on a subway on two previous occasions. And I got some **** chicken that was on point from this Jamaican restaurant around the corner from the school. Apparently some random folks had been running around in masks carrying various "weapons" scaring the **** out of unsuspecting victims If I wasn't sold on Howard before coming, I am definitely sold now
