There is also a nice Jamaican Restaurant down the street from the bookstore! Of course you wouldn't eat there on a daily basis, but whenever you want to switch things up a bit

Okay, you are officially bougie! lol...yes, swimming IS required for students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences. And last time I checked, all college students have to have accurate and up to date shot records, not just those at Howard. Anyway...You should receive your housing assignment very soon. Also, if you declared Psychology as a major on your application, then you will also be receiving info from the College of Arts and Sciences. The first few things you will get will probably be a bill that includes the total cost of everything and a list of loans and different scholarships that you might qualify for. After you make your first payment or deposit, you should receive Pre-Orientation info and how to register for classes.

Just one question: so are you natural now or in the process of being natural? I'm in the process of going natural myself and I am not worried about the swimming class at all I can give you some hair tips if you want, just PM me and I'll send you some pics.

well my hair has NEVER been permed. so technically ive always been natural. BUT i get my hair pressed. or well i used to when i lived in cali but people in chicago act like they never heard of a pressin comb. they all wanna flat iron and that just doesnt do for my hair so i decided to just wear my hair natural. so normally i just wash it and put some braids and moisturizer in it then when i take the braids out the next day its really curly. but im havin some problems with frizziness and stuff so yea some tips would be nice. i also have some if anybody wants any and pics of how it looks

I think the only thing you should be concerned about it moisture PrincessB. The chlorine is what will be anyone's worst enemy. I'd get a good neutralizing shampoo and a conditioner that is meant for maximum moisture. I'm pretty sure buying a swimming cap will eliminate most of the water from reaching your hair in the first place.
