I'm in one right now!!!!!! And when peeps say it's hard it's hard. I've been in one for almost a year. And there are many lonely nights as to where you wish that your loved one could just lay beside you and hold you sometimes. You gotta be careful tho...don't make the mistake I did...and let tha person become everything you think of...cuz you'll me mad as **** in tha long run. That's tha mistake I made...and now I'm tryna back up and get out of it. As a result...I may have talked to him3 times in the last 3-4 weeks. But if you are willing to work through it and if you love that person with everything in ya hear, mind, body, and soul...It will work out!!! The only thing you should do it find things to keep you busy and ya mind off of him...but don't find the WRONG things...you know what I'm talkin bout!!!!

Long distance relationships suck...especially if it is for an extended period of time. But if you are truly feeling (love) that person, u will get through it. I'm in one right now...im in France and my baby is in the states, but only 6 more weeks to go and we will be together again!!!! I miss u baby!!!!

I know they don't work for me. I was trying to keep one going with someone that I met while I was out of the country. It really sucked, because I rarely got to see her. I can deal with a couple hours because I can drive. Hell could even pay for her to fly out to see me or take a train. But anything more than that is just more than I want to deal with. I need the affection/attention if I'm in a relationship just as much as I need to give it.

I'm in a long distance relationship right now and let's just say that.... I'm about ready to call it quits. I haven't seen my boo in like 2 months and the days of him not being here with me are killin me. He is starting to act funny too like he is tryin to hide something, so I'm getting the impression that he is f*ckin' around on me. We've been together for 7 months now. He told me that he wants to marry me and be with me forever, but in the same conversation accusing me of cheating on him. ( Tryin that reverse psychology bull$hit on me...n!gga I ain't stupid) I ain't got no proof yet, but dammit I will get some soon. He just doesn't seem the same to me anymore. He's tryin to do sh*t on the low and whisper sweet sh*t in my ear to keep me satisfied. Well, I'm not satisfied and if he doesn't put more effort into this relationship, then I guess that he will just have to be on his own. To answer your question, long distance relationships can work up until a certain point. When you get used to not seeing a person every day like you would in a normal relationship, you start to feel like you don't even need that person anymore. Given trust, love, and true committment the relationship could last though, but only if both parties are putting in the right effort to make it work.
