These three are like my top right now. Is there anybody out there that goes to one of these schools that wants to tell me about their school, help me choose which I apply to? I wanna know stuff like how nice (or not) the dorms are, how the good the food is, the academics, nightlife, Greek life, stuff like that...?

I actually heard about Hampton, before I even knew there was a Howard (when I was little) so I naturally like Hampton first. I didnt even think much about Howard till my friend said something, and when I did go to look them up, they didn't even have my major. And really, all three bring something different to the table. You're right, if I want a closer knit group of friends, I should probably go to Hampton. And Hampton is supposedly higher standing as far as cirriculum and things go. But FAMU is up there too, plus they have a livlier social scene and a better way of networking once I get out of college. I plan on applying to both though, and I'm starting to pull away from NC A&T. It's the closest to home, and its a decent school, but its not as great compared to Hampton and FAMU and I want to push myself as far as I can go.

You're a pretty smart young woman and I'm sure u will succeed no matter which college you choose. Hampton has one of the lowest acceptance rates of any hbcus, that means only the elite get in. But you are still in high school, so dont rush destiny. And if u do come to Hampton, u prolly gonna hear about me, cuz please believe if I'm paying 20k a year, Imma be buck **** wild. LOL

Thanks. And yea, I know trust me. As long as I've been considering Hampton, I've defnitely looked up all their stats, including acceptance rates. But as far as I can see, as long as I keep doin how I'm doin, getting in shouldn't really be a problem. At least I hope not.But you never know, things dochange... I most deff feel ya on that one. And I'll be lookin out for ya, if I go to HU. lol

What's your major? Because if it falls under mass media communication, computer science, engineering, or animal science...North Carolina A&T is the school for you. NC A&T graduates the most African-Americans in these fields. It's a really excellent institution, so check it out before you decide you don't want to apply there any longer.

I am a mass comm major: public relations. And really? I didn't know that... But I guess I wouldn't know since I haven't researched it as much as the other two. I'll have to look that up a little more...

Just a quick FYI: Howard does in fact offer Public Relations as a major.
