My name is Stacey and I have been a "silent" reader on HBCUCONNECT for awhile. Well I have been thinking about attending Howard University in the fall of '09. I have a few question about Howard University.
~ Is it true that students of COAS must take swimming to graduate?
~ If I apply Early Decision, and get accepted, but Howard doesnt offer me a good Financial Aid package can I go to another college that offers me more money? Or am I obligated to go to Howard?
Thank u for the help!! And sorry if these questions have already been asked. Im being lazy and dont want to look through all of the previous posts/threads..

Cutie4life, you know what? i don't even know why Howard is my first choice. i like Howard for so many different reasons. i can just see myself being there on campus. i want to major in nursing and i know Howard is not known for nursing but even then Howard still tops school that i'm applying to that are known for their nursing program. i think its mostly because i feel Howard can offer me a little bit of everything. but anyways, ur only a state away from me i live in south carolina (even tho i rep brooklyn all day everyday cuz that's where i'm from originally). and can sum1 tell me how to quote another post in your own post cuz i don't know how and it's frustrating me thanks, deuces

To quote someone's message..all u have to do is at the bottom of each individual message there is a button that says quote and u click on it and it quote's the message..hope that explains it to u..but have u thought about attending any universities/colleges in South Carolina?..I know that University of South Carolina has a good nursing program

i feel accomplished that i can quote now and mad slow that i didn't see that big behind quote button before but thanks for the tip. i'm thinking about applying to newberry college which is in s.c. because it has a new nursing program that's doing good. and i'm applying to univ. of s.c. (aiken campus because i live in columbia and the columbia campus is to me like howard is to HBCUlover) but yeah usc does have a good nursing program i heard. but i'm not overly interested in the school as a whole ( i can't see myself sayin 'yep i go to usc-aiken go gamecocks!' i'd rather be sayin 'yep i go to HU go bisons!') but a plus would be there would prob. be a bunch of ppl from my school going there too, which can also be a negative now that i think about it..........but for real i'm not really feelin s.c. and i want to get back to the city quick fast
Does anybody know if Howard makes u take any subject test?..like the SAT II or whateva..and I have been wondering this for awhile..if I apply Early Action and dont get accepted..can I apply regular admissions? Thanks for the help

lol. Howard accepts the SAT1 and the ACT im sure u can even submit ur SAT II tests but i doubt its required. the best thing 2 do is to either check their website under admission requirements, or call the school itself=]
