Thats not true. Algebra I DOES count toward your graduation credits, but Basic Math DOES NOT. And if you really dont want to take Algebra I, you can always petition to take a higher math. the English placement test placed me for CAR English, but i petitioned not to take the class. And I always thought that the test was just a RECOMMENDATION, i never know that you were forced to register for that class. But hey, maybe that was years ago....Im only a SENIOR (HALLELUJAH!!!!)

I'll be right along with ya'll because I got Algebra I also. But the thing about that is I'm really good in math. I never got anything lower than a B. But I know I could've done better on the test.

Yeah...You don't have to take the math that you placed in. It's just a recommendation. I didn't take what they placed me in and it didn't make a difference.

heck if i know :???: . I say just register for Algebra 1 regardless. I did horrible on my placement exam, and i didn't see any restrictions when it was time for me to register online. I say go ahead and get it out of the way, or you'll end up like me...miserable in the worst subject on the planet :x

^^ I cant remember whether I used a calculator or not, prolly did. But it's all about you, you know if you're good at math or not. I say if you held at least a B- all throughout high school math then you'll be fine in Algebra 2. Also, if you're in the School of B you might want to register for Algebra 2, otherwise you'll have to go to summer school because it is a requirement to get to Applied Calculus.

I did pretty decent in math. I got a A in almost every class except for geometry and thats only cause of partner projects and terrible final grades. I'm goin to the school of arts and sciences anyway so I don't think I'll take that much math. Is it any other placement tests that I'm goin to need to take?
