Okay, I've narrowed down my two top picks: Spelman and Howard University. At first I decided to major in English, then I realized i needed to know something about fashion if i wanted to be a fashion designer - duh.
So i checked spelman's site to see if they offered in fashion classes- they don't. BUT I heard of something called cross-registering, that they do in the AUC. That way, I could take fashion merchandising at Clark-Atlanta and still take english at spelman. If anyone can explain cross-registering to me that would be helpful. Like, exactly how does it work, would i get a B.A, in fashion merchandising from Clark and a B.A. in english from spelman?
OR
I could just go to Howard where they offer fashion merchandising AND english as majors. So could yall tell me more about Howard, cause i know everythang there is to know about spelman cause I've had my heart set on going there since i was in the 5th grade.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Yes im a senior. i visited hu when i was in middle school when my sister was looking so i'm not going to be able to go back. I can't remember all that much of what it looked like. I just remember feeling all the pride when i walked around campus and the feeling of being at home and embraced. I rarely find myself around a lot of black people unless they're family so im definitely sold on the hbcu. just don't kno which one.
