Braids are what I'm leaning towards for school. My hair is really thick and healthy, but going off to a new place and not having my regular beautician workin her magic with it, I don't wanna have to be askin people to do my hair. My best way to go is to get some micros before i leave home and clean em up whenever i come home to visit.

always wrap it at night and use good products wash it once every two weeks and only use a straightening iron one day per week and wrap to prevent breakage.

I washed mine every week and kept it very well conditioned. It was so long and pretty and soft and....then I got bored and chopped it all of....then I had a fly **** afro....then I went to get it shaped up and this MAN cut off alla my hair....now my fro is growin back. Buuuut conditioning and keeping the heat on your head to a minimum works wonders. I stopped blow dryin my hair years ago and barely flat ironed it when I had it.

i havent had a relaxer since December 2002...i shoulda never got one to start with since my hair didn't need it. Now i just wash and blow dry my hair weekly and use mousse on it before i blow dry it and leave in conditioner. Ummm...during the week i don't put heavy grease on my hair b/c i don't like that weighed down look...so I use a spray on shine product thats light and fluffy!!! and wrap it every night with a satin scarf!!!! yay for healthy hair! ***If u gotta use heat...use CERAMIC curling and flat irons! They work wonders and promote healthy hair.....a little more costly, but worth it in the end. Ceramic Tools is a really good brand and u can find them at Sallys, Ultra, and other beauty supply stores!!
