Reaction thread: Are HU guys really ****?

OK, so I posted an innocent lik' topic about things girls look for in a guy, and apparently it boils down to "not HU guys". Now I've gone there myself for 2 years and some change, and yes, I know there are several guys there that don't do women right, but do ya'll really think it's a prevalent trend? What do you think separates HU guys from guys from other institutions or no college at all? Because looking at it from an objective point of view, I've observed that while yes, there are guys that are dogs at HU, they're the ones that seem to be pulling in the majority of the girls, while other people that probably fulfill every thing on a womans 'must-have' list have never even had a proper DATE (and I'm saying this from having friends to prove it, its terrible). I would think that before a girl would go so far as to categorize thousands of guys into one label that they would consider thinking outside the box and talking to someone that they may not have thought about before... I mean, it can't be more effort than going off campus to look for a guy, eh? But than again, thats just my opinion, and nah I'm not bitter from personal experience. Just trying to pique your brains to see if ya'll have a reason for thinking the way you do, and trying to salvage somewhat of a reputation for the fellas in the eyes of all the incoming freshman girls. :x

hate to say it but...Queenie is gonna have a HU SOULMATE. One day, a classy HU gentleman is gonna bulldoze that wall of doubt & pessimism and immerse himself within the depths of your heart :wink: . Watch! And when you're on here proclaiming your new found "boo", it's gonna take all the strength in the world for me to not say "i told u so!".

Well, let's see if Kenya can get her lil 2 cents in here. For the record, i have absolutely nothing against HU men. I have met positive dudes who are like my big bros, homiez, and just cool peoples in general. And i think there are plenty of "good men" at HU, there isn't a question of that. Just to be determined enough to focus, better yourself with a college education, and strive to do something great with your life makes u "good" in my book. As far as relationships go, i just haven't run into anything even close to that level with a HU guy & i just try not to hype myself up to believe that i will becuz of the odds. As a female, i hear the ratio & that leads to certain thoughts in my mind: A) what guy would want to focus on one female when he has such an array of options? B) and for the one that is willing, the odds of lil ole me getting him is slim to none. I guess alot of females do that as a defense mechanism. I'm not deliberately looking off campus for companionship. I'm not "looking" period. If a guy comes along...HU or otherwise, then that's cool.
