what's good in the neosoul world? i know i can't be the only neosoul lover on this board!!!!! so let's talk about em'...
i guess i kinda sparked this because i was listening to some Les Nubians today
^^^Jazzyfatnasties...that's the bizniz. One of the group members went to my highschool. And I believe the white lady you're referring to is Joss Stone. I kinda like her tho. I'm feelin that cut "Spoiled". Whether folks wanna classify her as Neo-soul is debatable. But hey, even the term "neo-soul" itself is debatable
As for some good peeps...i think that Lyfe Jennings is wassup. I remember when he was on amatuer nite on Apollo and just kept winning every week. I would watch every Sat. just so i could hear "Cry". Glad he got signed.
Everbody has jumped on the whole John Legend wagon by now so i'll just leave that one alone.
Actually thats how i ended up with Lyfe's CD. My Aunt saw him on the apollo and she was like "He's going to make it" and when she finally saw he made a CD she copped it for me.
they made a new one??? :?
John Legends' CD is a must have in the CD rotation! i'm looking forward to muh girl Erykah Badu to drop a new one for me...i'm still playin Love of My Life like it came out last week
Les Nubians need to drop a album PRONTO!!! ain't nobody got time to wait on them!!! *Anna Mae make tha damn album!*

Lyfe 268-192 - Lyfe
Waltz of a Ghetto Fly- Amp Fiddler
Rebel Soul Music- Martin Luther
many more...
Ima just cosign this whole thread especially on the John Legend thing. But Lyfe Jennings maybe I'll catch on a lil later but now... I need for Erykah Badu to have a new cd. Mama's Gun has been on rotation since I burned it from the cd I got from the library last semester. Sry E.Badu times get hard. In my opinion, Mama's Gun maybe her best cd. My friend always says "I don't know who she was doing or what she was smoking during the time she made that cd but she was on point."
Let us not forget Kindred!
And yall should know my Floetry cd is so scratch it won't even play anymore. Seriously! No one song song will play straight through. So Nat and Marsha need to let that cd drop soon. FYI it should be out sometime soon. "Early 2005" as I was told.

oh goodness gracious yes, i love that man...folks in alabama or saint louis arent hip yet, of course...i swear i need to move.... :?
I'm going to treat myself to the Jill Scott concert for an early birthday gift. The show is March 9th at Constitution Hall in DC and tickets go on sale Monday, Jan 10th at 11 am. I'veheard that she has 2 opening acts. One differs as she goes from city to city and the other is Floetry. So that's a pretty hot show!! Hopefully I don't have to spend more than $100 to get a good seat.
Happy Big 2-0 to me! 8)
well i don't have the tickets yet
