Here's the deal: Posted on 10-27-2004

Okay...so here's the situation: You and your hubby/wifey are havin your very first baby!! YEAH!!!! How exciting. You and your mate have been trying to have kids for years and it finally happens! Keep in mind that this is your only chance to have kids of your own. You're three months pregnant and you go visit the doctor for a check up. The doctor comes to you with some of the worst news you and your mate could ever hear. The doctor tells you that there is a 50% chance that you will die if you have this baby. Now granted there is the other 50% chance that you'll have tha baby and live to see him/her grow up. But the if you die, your baby could end up in various foster homes and whatnot. What would you do? Would you go ahead and give birth with the chance of you dying? Or would u just have the doctor terminate your unborn child? Keep in mind that this would be your only chance to have your own baby (flesh n blood). Adoption is always an option...but it wont be yer flesh n blood.

Why would the baby end up in foster care if you are married?? (you did say your "hubby/wifey") The husband would have the responsiblity of taking care of the child if something happened during childbirth. ANYWHO, eventhough I don't want any children, IF I were pregnant I would not terminate the pregnancy because I would rather give my life for that of a child. Unless there was a 100% chance that I would die, I would just have to go full term and see what happens cuz 50% is DEFINITELY not enough for me to **** my baby. My mother was told that she would die if she had my big brother but she just told the doctors that was a risk she was willing to take and I would do the same. In the end, momma was fine, brother was premature but still okay, and she ended up having me 7yrs later, so you can't always go on what doctors say, sometimes you have to rely on God.

I'd let my child live. My goals in life would be completed. Now is time for legacy to carry on. I am sure my hubby would take good care of our child.

I'd take the chance with having the baby. Why? Because if I didn't take the chance I'd be left wondering "what if" for the rest of my life...

Hotep, If my wife was having a baby and there was a 50/50 chance I believe that it would be right to have the baby. For whatever happen The Bible Says ALL THING WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD AND HAVE BEEN CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. I know she'll be a christian so I know that she'd understand and trust in the one who is able to keep us from falling. Prince...

I didnt even answer my own question! I'd have to pray about it. Cause the doctors can tell u one thing, but God can tell u somethin else. But if i aiint hear from God...I dont think i would have the baby.
