alrite.... so my birthday is next week 11-24-86 and i will be 18. i been wanting to get my tounge pierced and IM GOING TO DO IT NOT MATTER WHAT(encourages myself not to get scared). i was just wonderin what are some of your opinions on tongue rings?
:arrow: went today and got it done.... it wasnt that bad at all i was sooo nervous. them clamping my tongue hurt worst than the piercing itself. **** on ice helps me a whole lot! i just cant eat certain types of food but yeah it wasnt as bad as some say for those of u who plan on gettin it done

I had my tongue pierced for 3 yrs. Just remember this. EAT FIRST!!! Please eat before you get your tongue pierced and there is an oral antiseptic called GLYOXIDE please use it. Don't eat anything that may agitate the piercing. I used to work at the emergency room and this girl came in two weeks after I got my piercing, she was bleeding non stop from the tongue ring cause she ate shrimp. I want to get mine repierced. The initial piercing does not hurt it is afterward like the next morning. Take MOTRIN for the swelling.

I say go for it. It doesnt hurt at all and it heals quick about 2 weeks. I have 2 (tongue rings) and i wouldnt take them out for the world. Guys will talk. As long as, you dont let what they say shape who you are then, you are fine. Good luck!

I got my tongue pierced back in september. It didnt hurt, but the day afterwards was hell!! My tongue was so swollen that it was hard to swallow my own spit. I couldnt eat anything that entire day!!! So if u reall want to do it, eat hell food the day before!!!! After about a week, it will be all good. Oh yeah, the rumors are going to come!!!! My advice to you, get it placed to where u cant really see it while you talk. That way u wont have to take it out for job interviews and stuff like that.
Yea I got mine done earlier this year....the actual piercing hurt, but it wasnt as bad as the after pain...I STAYED keepin my mouth washed in that salt they give u...That also makes the tongue heal alot faster...After 2 days it felt fine and I was eatin like regular...
