I was wondering if it was hard to get in howard university b/c that is my 1st choice for college. The thing is I'm not the most perfect student. So far I've stayed at a 2.5 g.p.a in high school and I was never involved in that many extracurricular activities. Plus my grades are really bad and I still haven't taken the ACT (not taking SAT). I can apply myself hard it's just my procrastination and laziness.
So what do ya'll think and was it hard for y'all?

When I applied I wrote a really good essay about how I messed up in high school (academically) but how I had grown from the experience. I believe what helped me was my extra curricular activities and I also called admissions once or twice a week to check the status of my application. Here's a few tips of advice, get your application in as soon as you can! Send a resume! Also the Fine Arts division of the college of arts and sciences is the easiest to get into their gpa requirement is a 2.0. It definetly DOES matter witch school your applying too (arts and sciences, school of B etc.). Howard accepted me with some stipulations they limited me to 13 credit hours first semester so they could monitor my progress. I now have about a 3.5 gpa. You can do it just handle your business and have a little bit of faith!
