Okay, I wanna dance in college, and I'm tryin to condition myself, I've been a dancer for who knows how long, and I dance for my HS band, can some1 tell me what I need to condition myself for auditions. That would be a big help, thanx

Hi, I'm a former HBCU dancer/captain.
First off, find out the requirements of the squad you want to join.Since most auditions are held during spring(right around the corner),It would be great to execute all that is demanded of a dancer.
Attire :arrow: Wear form fitting outfits that reveal your shape.Please, don't wear anything that loose or too "STANK".
Body Type :arrow: Some squads has weight and hip requirements,some dont.Just make sure youre fit and toned.If concerned about your stomach,do crunches!!!!!!
Attitude :arrow: Please leave the stank attitudes at home.If youre sick, tired, frustrated or whatever else that can hinder your best performance....Dont show the judges.Remember there will always be someone who can take your spot.
Smile :arrow: At all times, please.
Splits :arrow: Left and right splits are usually required...Know how to do a front split just in case.
Kicks :arrow: Front, side,fan, high , low.
Hygiene :arrow: Come smelling nice or you may regret it.
Hair&Make-up :arrow: I almost forgot about this one.Wear your hair up in a ponytail or down.Please make sure it looks nice,though.
Make-up is to enhance your facial features not make you look like Bo-Bo the clown.
Resume :arrow: If you have prior dance experience.
Head Shot :arrow: If you dont have one,Get one.
If there are any reasons that you cant make auditions, please contact the squad sponsor.Some will allow you to tryout using Video.
