Hey Fellow Bisons Posted on 02-22-2005

What up? It's been official for a while, but I'll be attending Howard University in the fall of 2005 as a freshman. I got accepted early action, and now am being considered for the Legacy scholarship after re-taking the SAT in January. Basically I wanted to get some info on the real HU. I know you current Bisons hate to spit out info for us clueless incoming freshman, but I'd appreciate some responses. For one, is Drew Hall the only male freshman dorm? If so do they have community bathrooms? And are the bathrooms shared between 2 rooms and 4 people, or are they just on the hall with a million dudes. I took a tour of HU last spring, but they didn't take us into any dorms. Thanks is advance ya'll. I just cannot wait to get on campus. One more thing, , is it true that sophmores can move into the towers if they are in the honrs programs in their coleges. Thanks again.

Ey I got another question! I am considering bringing my car so I get around, you know to the store and things like that. What do you all think? Do you think it is wise for a first year student @ HU to bring their car? Its gonna feel kinda weird not havin my car fa real.
my guy friend has a car, and he regrets it every day and only brought it for his org....he hates the way DC people drive, because they drive very ROUGH....like i would give it one semester not even a year, and then bring your car to truly decide if ya need it....but it depends on what kind of driving youre used to cause DC driving is an experience in and of itself ,think of driving "mariokart style"
Yep, very true. Plus, the streets/lanes are small & cramped in DC. Not to mention the city is shaped like a giant maze :???: . Don't get me wrong, there are benefits. Like, when going grocery shoppin, the convenience of not dealing with public transportation, move in, etc. Not to mention, how u can help Kenya out by giving her a ride every now and then (hint hint).
EFF Kenya... Itz about me... now.. can I get a ride?? LOL... DC is a stupid place forreal... but DC is seperated alphabetically by syllable... hard to understand? If the first street is Abe Street... the next street can be Bull Street and the Street after will be Cab Street... u feel me? once you get to the last letter it starts over @ A by 2 syllables.... but they jacked it by throwin in a couple of states... I havent figured how they are set... dah well... it was a lil fun thing when my brother was real amazed at the streets... sorry if this was pointless info.....
