I am going to be a freshman out there and i am coming straight out of Los Angeles! I dont even know what to expect out there...from transportation to the people!Any Advice??
Bein that this will be my third year in the AUC this fall I'll add my $.02. Cali is pretty deep in the AUC, deeper than you'd initially think. I have a couple friends from different parts on CA. Coming from DC, the MARTA is a joke. But if you're not used to using public transportation you'll probably think it's okay. The best way to get anyplace other than shopping and the movies in ATL is a car. And yes yes yes there is a Jamba juice, it's in the only Whole Foods I know of in Atlanta that's on Ponce de Leon (you'd need a car to get there). I was so excited when I found out there was one here lol. If you wanna know anything else, feel free to ask away.
welcome to the AUC fam. Cali is extremely deep at CAU so you'll be in good company. If you get lonely for home then you can just join the Cali Club (that's prolly not the name of it tho lol). MARTA (moving.africans.rapidly.through.atlanta). I am an oficial holder of the monthly marta card *oh so exclusive j/p* The style in ATL is different than the AUC style so you'll juss have to come to school and see what everyone is rocking. Don't trip, you'll be fine!
Yeah I heard about the Cali Club when i was at orientation and the MARTA as well...one if the OG'S told me about it! well actually since so many people come from different parts of the country they each bring there own significant style with them...i guess thats what i am goin to do!!Well again thanx for the input...I really appreciate it...TheLoveatCAU is so cool and even throughout theAUC!!!!CAU HERE I COME!!! By the time you pay $5 for one of those nasty Spelman smoothies you might as well have found the Whole Foods and got the real thing lol I swear I luv Jamba juice especially the Mango-A-Go-Go
Me liking Jamba Juice has nothing to do with being BOUGIE!!! It is a common Smoothie spot in LA alrighty! Just because i am from Cali does not mean I am Bougie boo....Anywas are the smoothies at Spelman realy nasty? They have some smoothie spot next to the cafeteria!!
