Hmm...the average size is 14...I really think there's a problem with America. Not to say 14 is HUGE but our nation definitely has some weight issues to figure out.

Not exactly so. I myself used to be fat when I was in elementary school. And about 5th grade I got too angry about my friends always callin me fat and did something about it. I was in the 5th grade and was doing 50 sit-ups, and played outside all day everyday. And ever since I've had a six pack and been thin. If I hadn't taken things into my own hands I'd prolly be almost, if not, twice my weight right now. But I look just like a regular skinny dude. Now there's nothing wrong with being overweight, and I don't pass judgment on anybody. But being a former member of the overweight club myself, I know that if you really want to get out of it, you can. It's all about the person. Desire to be thin won't do anything by itself, but desire and determination sure will.
I meant peoples frames...some people have a large frame, i am not talking about being overweight...i guess i was just repeating myself about being wide :???:

I don't think that it should be a problem with the ad...i'm 5'11 and my weight goes up and down the biggest i've ever been is 216 but now i weigh like 175-185 but i don't look like i do most people dont' even believe me when i tell them i weigh that much...i can wear sizes 14-18 in stuff it's just cause my hips, thighs and **** r big but everythin else is small on me so u can't just judge people by there sizes it's just how some people turn out as long as your healthy what's the problem?

I think that if a person is comfortable with themselves then it shouldn't matter what size they are.... yeah true some people who are overweight have health issues, but not all of them do. At my school, there is a girl who is big she wear a 20 i think she told me... but anyway she is on our highstepping team, and she is the best one on there...she kick higher than all the skinny girls does her splits and flips across the floor. My point is just because a person is big has nothing to do with they ablity to sell a product look at queen, she a big beautiful woman who is sellin the hell out of cover girl. I'm 5'7 and over 150lbs and I wear a size 11.... so weight has nothing to do with how you look how you carry yourself, and your self-esteem..... to me i don't care what size a model is...

yeah I'm sorry but it's just not healthy to be that big, no matter what your height is. This is a major issue in the black community. There is a difference between having curves, being thick, and being obese. You can be size 6 with curvy. If you're a size 20 with curves... they're curves of fat, not a real shape. Black people need to stop eating like we're slaves (neckbone, gizzards, chit'lins) and start eating like we're trying to live. Collard greens aren't the only damn vegetable, and candied yams don't count!
girl hush ya mouf. all my family be eating that kinda stuff including me and we aint over weight. It aint what ya eat its how much of it.

Not every big person is big because they eat like "slaves" (which is a very disturbing analogy by the way)....yes there are those folks who don't know how to quit and eat their way out of everything...then there are those big people who DONT eat and because they dont eat and stay active their metabolism is very low...this is the case with MANY big people...Then there are big people with medical problems...and no im not talking about diabetes...heart disease and what not...im talking about medical problems that actually cause the overweight...such as Glandoral problems that effect a good 5% of Black Women...and in case you are wondering...im in that 5 % of black women....It pains me when people only take a simple look at a big/fat person and automatically think they are that way because they dont know how to lay off the fried chicken...hmmm...and you can be Big and healthy you know...healthy doesn't mean you weigh under 150 lbs.... As a big person myself i do realize that there is a SERIOUS obesity problem in our country...i dont doubt that...and its dangerous yes...and something needs to be done...but stuff like that doesnt happen overnight you know.... You guys have NO IDEA what it feels like to be in the shoes of a big person...NO IDEA...you would think us a black folk would start encouraging one another for situations like this...but no...only put downs?? Tell me how exaclty is THAT helping the situation??
