**** Im saying we werent BESt friends but we was tight and she died the night before last in the hospital beaten to death by her boyfriend her name (anonymous) she was 18 and was going to be a freshmen at Norfolk State university her boyfriend turned hisself in and admit to beating on her more than twenty times at the least!
i said its never right for man to hit a woman but my boy Derrick was like "if she hit me and I dont like her she gone get hit back I dont care" its funny cuz his girlfriend agreed and her friend who is a female did too "its wrong she died but he had to be beaten on her for a reason" wtf?

It's a hard topic for me to comment on because I agree with what everyone is saying. There are some guys that just hit women for no reason, and then again there are some women who hit men, expecting them not to hit back just because they are women. As far as your friend is concerned, I'm sorry about her death. No one deserves to have something like that happen to them, and I feel horrible that her parents had to bury a child and that she will no longer be able to attend school.
You know, they say it's hard to comment on a situation that you have never been in before. Thank God I haven't and that my friends haven't. My advice is that if you are in an abusive relationship --whether it be physical or verbal -- take the necessary steps to get out. Easier said than done, I know, but you have to do it, you know? Guys shouldn't hit girls, but girls can't hit guys either.
I agree with i think that if you in situation where your mate is hit ing you then you know its time for you to corrected it not saying you have to hit that person back or **** them. I concur that NO ONE should ever hit the other partner PERIOD!!! But you need to take into account some things if you hit someone, reaction can be a knee-****, muscle memory reaction. Therefore, a man, who does not hit women, could retaliate rather quickly. He could hit a woman and then realize, "oh shyt, I just hit a woman!?!" Does that make him a ****?

My man has said to me that he will hit a girl back if she hit him, but he has never hit me. I mean we play fight or whatever but he's never just plain out knock my **** out.

I think there is only one reason for a man to type of physical harm to his kids. Other than that it is never okay for a man to raise his hand to a woman. I would be damned if a man tried to hit me. I don't believe under any circumstances or situations should a man hit a woman. Even if a woman hit a man first and made him see stars, he shouldn't hit her back. You're better off just walking away. People justify that a guy had to have a reason to hit the female, but she didn't have a reason to hit him. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not agreeing with **** coming from either side. In the Bible, God says vengence is his. God sees all and he can do your enemies more damage than you ever can. **** is not love, I don't care how it is dressed up to appear to be. If a man or woman loves you they will not hit you, because when you love someone you only want the best for them. Sometimes you have to realize that the best for you is someone else. Or maybe even nobody. First you have to love yourself, before anybody else can love you. Sometimes people jump head first into a relationship and haven't even gotten over their last partner. Then you end up comparing your new guy/gal to your ex guy/gal, and it's not fair.
Ladies don't think just because a dude says that he's sorry for hitting you that it wont happen again. Guys don't think just because she's a female she got the right to be knocking you upside the head. This is a two way street, everyone (male and female) is just one hit, punch, kick, smack, stump, etc., away from death and you never know when it's going to be that last lick.
