WELCOME TO HOWARD UNIVERSITY!!!! This Question and Answer thread was developed to answer ANY and EVERY inquiry from those who have officially selected Howard University as their place for academic growth! And for those who are still undecided about where you will be in the fall, hopefully this thread will help you lean towards furthering your education at HU If you have any questions pertaining to Howard University, registration, athletics, Greek life, campus life, Homecoming, Washington, DC, clubs, shopping malls, classes, majors, minors, roomates, etc. DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS! Although Howard alumni and students are not experts in all areas of college life, we will try our best to answer your questions directly and in a timely manner. There are many current Bison and HU alums who post on this board.If you have a question that you are not comfortable posting in the open forum, utilize the PM (private messaging). Us Howardites are very friendly and responsive! Also, feel free to post your Myspace, Facebook, YIM, AIM or any other method of contact (if your feel comfortable doing so) in an effort to network, meet and greet others who are or will be associated with Howard University. Johnson C.Smith, Hampton, St.Bonaventure University, Binghamton University and Stonybrook University. My packages from JCSU, Binghampton, Stonybrook sucked! Hampton, they wanted more papers && i didnt want to go so didnt follow through.. It all comes down to St.Bonaventure & Howard <3 I LOOOVE them both...but i dnt want to be in debt...so its all about $$$$

I qualify for alot of the donor scholarships..but i wont know until i get my package...so im not sure if i got any others :-/ Im gonna be a Chem/Pre-Med major w/ a minor in Math and/or Spanish

No....Im not gonna send in my enrollment fee before i see my package..thats too risky..& there are tons of scholarships out there esp. for black women in science...you just gotta keep up your grades..did u go to the accepted students open house?

Heyy!! Howard is one of my top choices (actually my #1) But Im worried that i wont be able to double major in Politcal Science & Secondary Education (History). Can anyone tell me is I can do that and what are the required classes for those majors?

Political Science and History are both in the College of Arts & Sciences, whereas Secondary Ed falls under the School of Education. I was told that if you double major it has to be within the same school/college. Once you get to Howard you can speak with an academic advisor and they might be able to give you more info.
